What makes it so different?
The focus of traditional health care is on germs and blood. Chiropractic is different! Chiropractic produces results by helping your nervous system work the way it should!
It’s a scientific fact that your brain, spinal cord and the rest of your nerves control every aspect of your body. Hinder to the vital nerve links between your brain and your body can cause ill health to result. A common source of interference comes from the moving bones that encase the “information super highway” of your spinal cord.
The focus of Chiropractic Care is on the integrity of Your Nervous System!
The key thing you need to know is that we as chiropractors are more interested in the nerves than your body. Think of the nerves as wires and the body as insulation to the wires in an electrical circuit. Like an electrician, we are more interested in the wires than the circuit. When there is a cut in the wire or a less than perfect connection or a thinning wire, the circuit does not work the way it should. An electrician would say there is some kind of interference. Well like the nerves if there is a disruption, pinched nerve or choked nerve, there is a decrease in the nerve flow.
These interferences can produce a variety of health problems. Nerve pressure can cause numbness, weakness or the under-performance of organs and tissues. Spinal vertebrae misalignment can cause nerve tissue to stretch, chafe, or become irritated. This can distort nerve messages between your body and your brain. The result? Hyperactive organ function, high blood pressure, pain, etc!
Chiropractic is simple.
It’s Natural.
It honors the wisdom of your body.
And it has helped millions enjoy relief and better health for more than a century!
Who can chiropractic help?
Improved nerve communications between your brain and your body can help everyone! So, if you have subluxations, you could be a good candidate for Chiropractic Care. Modified adjusting approaches can help families, elderly, adults, children, babies, those with special needs, etc!
What is a subluxation?
In simplest terms, a subluxation is when one or more of the bones of your spine (vertebrae) move out of position and create pressure on, or irritate spinal nerves. Spinal nerves are the nerves that come out from between each of the bones in your spine. This pressure or irritation on the nerves then causes those nerves to malfunction and interfere with the signals traveling over those nerves.
How does this affect you? Your nervous system controls and coordinates all the functions of your body. If you interfere with the signals traveling over nerves, parts of your body will not get the proper nerve messages and will not be able to function at 100% of their innate abilities. In other words, some part of your body will not be working properly.
It is the responsibility of the Doctor of Chiropractic to locate subluxations, and reduce or correct them. This is done through a series of chiropractic adjustments specifically designed to correct the vertebral subluxations in your spine. Chiropractors are the only professionals who undergo years of training to be the experts at correcting subluxations.
I feel fine; why should I see a chiropractor?
Think of your body having a dimmer light switch. Your body will continue adapt to having less than perfect nerve flow and reduce nervous system function until it can adapt no more and obvious symptoms occur. When obvious symptoms occur is what prompts most people’s chiropractic visits until they learn that the pain they experience is one of the last signs your body gives you that something is wrong.
Your body is pretty enduring. Remember that fall you had a year ago- well your body may still be fighting off the trauma experienced even though you do not feel anything. You may not notice any pain yet, but you may notice stiff muscles or less flexibility or motion. That is not suppose to be part of the normal aging process unless you are 90 year old! However- whether you have any symptoms or not, eventually your body will let you know that it can no longer do it on its own—meaning it needs its full functioning power- which is where a chiropractor comes into play.

How long will it take?
Since Chiropractic care depends on the healing abilities of each patient, results can vary from patient to patient. Everyone responds differently. Some detect changes in a few short days or weeks. Others may take weeks to months before showing progress.
You see, each visit builds upon the ones before. The fastest results are achieved by keeping every visit recommended. Visit by visit, the supporting muscles of your spine get stronger, the ligaments and soft tissue are retrained. Visit after visit is used to restore how your body works. So RESULTS take time!
If you start to feel better and decide to not continue with your plan of care, you are bound to have a relapse—meaning days, weeks, months, or years later your symptoms are bound to come back… but this time they could be worse. If you stay with your schedule, you will not only get relief, but correction to where you will only need to maintain your spine to ensure to not to have a relapse or have any other problems occur.
Will I have to go for the rest of my life?
Like your Chiropractic doctor, some patients opt to continue with some type of regular Chiropractic checkups. These patients show up for their visits feeling great. Their interest in wellness and prevention helps make sure that once they get well, they stay well!
You have scheduled maintenance or checkups on your car, your teeth, your eyes, etc…
Why not on your spine—Which happens to be your building block of life?
